i would just like to let everyone know that i wrote this post and it got deleted so now i’m writing it again and i am not a happy camper. anyway, i should be doing actual work, but i would rather be doing this (even the second time).
so, after this final week of the regular season, i’m actually quite happy. the New York Giants made it to the playoffs after crushing the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night (i’m sure you saw). Also, the Colts lost! Yay! that means they secure the first pick of the 2012 draft. ahem…Andrew Luck…ahem. in addition to that Jim Irsay fired Bill and Chris Polian (Chairman and GM of the team). As I intently watched the press conference held by him yesterday, he made it seem like Jim Caldwell’s future is uncertain, too. He said things like Caldwell was “under evaluation”…sort of beating around the bush if you ask me. and after the Giants game on Sunday night, all i have to say is that Victor Cruz should have made the Pro Bowl! what a snub. aaaand people need to take them as a serious playoff threat now! right? right.
As the playoffs go, the seeds seem very interesting to me. The fact that the Denver Broncos have a better ranking than the Pittsburgh Steelers is so crazy. I guess thats what makes the NFL so much fun. The Steelers won 4 more games than Denver did, but they are 5th and the Broncos are 4th. that would probably be because the AFC North has more winning teams (Baltimore actually won the division, earning them the #2 seed) and the winning-est record in the AFC West was 8-8. Honestly? I don’t like to make predictions on winners and losers (mostly because I dont like to be wrong…seriously) but for some reason I have this feeling about Baltimore going all the way..or at least to the Super Bowl, not necessarily winning. Don’t judge! and don’t hold me to that, either! i’m just making a guess…
now for the NFC… i have no clue! is it just me or is this the first time in a while that they have all the powerhouse teams? I mean between the Saints, Packers & 49ers it seems that they have more talent…or at least winning records than the AFC… again, don’t hold me to that. just my opinion! okay, now that i’ve procrastinated twice as long i should probably do something more prouctive.
look at the brightside: you only have to wait until Saturday for Playoff action! Plus there’s been Bowl Games this week to give you your dosage of football action (:
