tardy to the party…sorry, friends :(

so its wednesday night, and i’m just now posting about the Wildcard Weekend….woops. things have been a little hectic, but i straightened my priorities (aka posting tonight!) okay so I didn’t share these picks with the rest of the Internet world but I did share them with most of my friends and family so they know i’m not lying when I say that I picked 3 our of the 4 games this past weekend correctly. yay! the only game i didn’t call was the Steelers/Broncos game. Sorry guys, i’m not a hardcore Tebow fanatic. to be honest, i liked him more before there was all this obnoxious hype around him. did you know he set a record for most tweets per second during a sporting event? it was something like 9000…that’s crazy! i know my twitter feed was blowing up with his name…hence the getting annoyed thing. one more quick thing. has anyone else noticed that Tebow threw for 316 yards last week? yeah, well i bet you didn’t make the connection of John 3:16 and 316 yards. crazy, right?

alright moving on from my rant…in case you still cared about the Colts like I do, they hired a new GM (Ryan Grigson) only like a week and a half after Irsay announced that the Polians had been fired. Grigson has previously worked for the Philadelphia Eagles and is pretty young in terms of what you would typically think of someone in that position being (or is that just me?). On the news tonight they said that Grigson gets to decide if they’re going to keep Caldwell and that right now its looking to be 50-50. :O uh-oh!

okay so on a scale of 1-10 i think people being surprised by the Saints win is like a 1…at least for me. I wasn’t expecting the Lions to be able to pull out a win over the ridiculous Drew Brees. (although making it to the playoffs at all is a big deal for them, lately) But really, Brees is like unstoppable lately. personally, i’m rooting for the 49ers this weekend because since they embarrassed both the Colts and the Giants this season, plus i’m still spiteful about Super Bowl XLIV…but that’s beside the point. I’m hoping my initial prediction of the Ravens winning the AFC stays in tact this weekend against the Texans (i honestly think it will). No offense to Houston because all power to you for making the playoffs for the first time EVER, but you’re playing with a 3rd string rookie quarterback against one of the best defenses in the league. good luck. :(

as for the Patriots and the Broncos, I honestly don’t know. Lately it seems that Tim Tebow is capable of absolutely anything, so beating Tom Brady could happen. Especially because the Pats don’t have the greatest defense, and Tebow and his team just beat out another powerhouse defense. now, i was going to skip right over the Giants/Packers game because I don’t want to be biased or anything. Obviously we all know who I’m rooting for…the way i see it is that the Giants came incredibly close to beating the then unbeaten Packers and lost only by a field goal in the last few seconds of the game. then a couple weeks later, still unbeaten Green Bay lost to the Kansas City Chiefs which was a huge boost to the Chiefs and interim-turned-head-coach Romeo Crennel and a huge blow to the Packers. One more thing, if you watch any sort of sports analyist show on ESPN or NFL Network or anything like that, most of them say that New York looks a bit like they did in 2007 when they won the Super Bowl…beating Green Bay in the NFC Championship IN Green Bay. Deja vu, anyone?

only 3 days until Divisional Weekend starts!
